We transform
innovations into better living.
Why are we doing this? Because we recognized very early on that we need to find answers to the pressing problems of our time that won't take decades to take effect. Instead, they have an immediate positive impact on the way we live, work, drive and make the city a healthier and more attractive place to live.

SCRT marine catalytic converter

- Reduces exposure to smog
- Helps to avoid heat islands
- Creates integrative oases of fresh air in the middle of cities
- Looks like a small forest in the middle
in the city - Creates urban green seating
seating with e-charging stations - Reduces indirect costs of air pollution, e.g. because
people fall ill less often - Reduces the burden on urban households through low maintenance, low energy consumption and self-cleaning filters
- Can be used as an information display
SCRT ship catalytic converter: a new, patented exhaust gas purification system for ships based on selective catalytic reduction on the Dutch tanker Amulet. Thanks to a combination of highly efficient diesel particulate filters, pollutant-reducing urea and an associated temperature-dependent chemical reaction, emissions were already reduced to the Euro 6 standard for diesel commercial vehicles in 2010.
In concrete terms, this means a reduction of around 67 percent in nitrogen oxide emissions from the four diesel engines of the 135-long ship, each with an output of around 500 kilowatts. An opacity value of just 0.05 ppm was determined for the Amulet - far below the permissible maximum of 2.5 ppm.
- Green Shipping Award 2011
- SUSTAINABLE SHIPPING AWARD 2011
- Regional environmental protection contribution 2011 Finalist
- Mercedes Benz BLUE EFFICIENCY AWARD 2011
- KNVTS (Dutch Institution of Marine Engineers)

1300 kilometers range with a
20 liter tank? Independent of a power socket? That can even use used frying fat? It's possible with the innovative micro-generator that we have used in a conventional production small car.

And which, unlike conventional e-cars, does not continuously supply power to the drive system, but as a ticking signal that interrupts the flow of electricity up to 60 times per second, producing less heat and thus increasing the range.
- Development without promotion
- Weight under 1000 kilograms
- Tank (for microgenerator) 20 liters
- Power 40 KW (approx. 52 HP)

Thanks to efficient combined heat and power generation, a single unit achieves an efficiency of over 90 percent - conventional large power plants achieve a maximum of 45 percent. Something that leads to considerably lower energy consumption and significantly reduces climate-damaging carbon dioxide emissions. Thanks to our patented catalytic converter system, the engines burn the biogenic fuel so cleanly that they fall below all globally applicable emissions standards.
The result was made possible by a new engine management system and innovative exhaust gas aftertreatment technology. The Hummel works in the port of Neuss.
- The world's first base load-capable combined heat and power plants
- A total of 12 MW electrical and 12 MW thermal output.
- Capital expenditure of more than EUR 16 million
- Efficiency of over 90 percent
Hummel combined heat and power plant: Hummels are the first base load-capable combined heat and power plants that use only biogenic raw materials and produce a total of 12 MW of electrical and 12 MW of thermal power as so-called white energy. They are extremely economical and, above all, environmentally friendly.
